Firstly before we start: I'd give it 4.5/5 because read below
The only con I can think of is the mouse left and right clicks, a bit too much pressure is needed for my taste (about the same as corsair scimitar pro). It doesn't require any software to run in the background of your computer for the bindings to work! You can set the thumb button bindings (if I remember correctly, even left and right click) to any button or buton combination you want! The scroll left and right tilt is way more comfortable than I thought at first: I tilt left to copy and right to paste.
If you have a big hand the thumb buttons might be too far away for you to use all buttons comfortably. I just need 6 buttons, and then the bottom 3 aren't uncomfortably too far down, but the second to bottom 3 buttons are awkwardly possitioned for my handsize.
I fully support the business practice to let anyone write a script to program the mouse and that there is no need for a constant running program (which, if we are gonna be honest, is usually an excuse to have you run spyware willingly, seriously have you seen the agreements? The programs for most MMO mice usually send info to the producer. But with Havit, we can guarantee that no such feature exists because I can use an open source script on linux to program it, and no need to keep it up in the background.)
If you are gaming on linux, there is no other working alternative (afaik) since the others require software to run and usually the softwares do not work on linux. Havit has a working script, (for this mouse, not sure if for every product) and it is simple to use. Linux + gaming = HV-MS735 if you want good MMORPG mouse.
Link to alternative program to set the mouse config. Use at your own risk, it can break mouse (there should be a link to fix broken mouse) and you need some know how to set the program up. https://github.com/pbludov/hv-ms735-config/
The only downside I found so far is the small size.
I have a large hand and a thick thumb, so I can only effectively press 4 buttons on the side panel.
Other than that, the mouse is great, reliable and accurate.
If they had a "brother" model that is larger, I'd be happy to buy that.
J'installe le driver qui vient dans la boite, ça ne fonctionne pas, je vais chercher celui du site web, il démarre mais pas capable de configurer une touche, demande de l'aide du support et RIEN aucune réponse.... N'acheter pas cette MERDE!!!!!
It's better than you'd expect everything is rock solid and made really really well, the side buttons are a bit stiff and the ergonomics are subjective, but I'm really happy
The mouse was advertised to have internal memory that stores 5 user profiles. That might be the case, but the software is lackluster and is missing this functionality. So yea, if you're looking for a mouse that you'll use with more than one program, look somewhere else.
This mouse is really good, great for someone like me not willing to buy a $70+ razer mouse. In my opinion this is very close in quality for much less. Much better than my other multi-side button mice, which has broken down... this one I have been using this for a year, the side buttons still function perfectly and so do the main navigating buttons. They do offer refunds, but I don't think you'll want to after trying this mouse. Only few recommendations to improve the mouse, have the mouse feet connected to mouse as one piece, as the sticker collects dust as it glides around my mouse pad. Also have the dpi and side button lights customizable. I would love to maybe see a new version of this mouse with really clicky main navigation buttons like one of my old mouse. Keep the work up Havit!
Очень качественная Мышь
TLDR: Among the best mice I've ever used, at a price much lower than most mice I've ever used.
I've used many many different mice over the years. Since "MMO" style mice have come out, I've used the Rat7 and Razer Nagas. IMO, this mouse is as good or better. It fits my large hand well, even better than the customizable Rat7. It feels light, and the button clicks are good. The software is easy to use with all of the necessary configuration options.
What could be better? It has 5 feet, but they don't feel quite as slippery as a Razer brand. The side buttons are a little small, making the bottom row difficult to use at first. They could be a little more forward on the mouse as well (big hands). My only other complaint is that the customizable lighting effects do not extend to the side buttons or DPI lights.
